If you get one of the rooms in Storm Jameson you're fine. If you get a room in Whetton or whatever the other block is called, lower your expectations. Location is great, social aspect is alright but depends on who's in your flat. The beds in Whetton/other block are absolutely cooked and you are basically boxed in by the wall and your sink and the rooms are genuinely tiny.

Charles morris is split into 2 buildings next to each other. Storm Jameson (newer modern building) has east and west wing. This was double beds with en-suites. 4 rooms shared a kitchen and were self-catered. Dobree and weton buildings (where I stayed) were 11 rooms sharing 1 kitchen. However, all these rooms were catered and recieved a meal voucher to spend at the university union’s refectory for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Due to there being so many rooms sharing a communal space it was brilliant for meeting new people. Probably the best halls for socialising with new people at the university. I would say though, expect everybody within these two halls to be either from London or from the south due to the higher price tag. Overall, I’d recommended Charles morris to anybody from any background starting at the uni as I think it gives u the best starting point at uni.
